## Incoterms in petroleum trades

Every offer names an Incoterm. It fixes where the seller's responsibility ends, who books the vessel and who insures the cargo.

### What to send with an enquiry

- Company name and registration details
- Product and the specification it must meet
- Quantity, and whether one cargo or a term supply
- Destination port and preferred Incoterm
- Delivery window
- How you intend to pay, for example by documentary letter of credit

### Documents that usually travel with a cargo

- Commercial invoice
- Bill of lading
- Certificate of quality
- Certificate of quantity
- Certificate of origin
- Cargo manifest and tank ullage report
